1143 IMPACT OF NON-CARDIAC COMORBIDITIES ON DIASTOLIC PROPERTIES IN HFREF AND HFMREF PATIENTS

Abstract Background and purpose The impact of non-cardiac comorbidities on left ventricular (LV) diastolic properties in HFrEF HFmrEF patients is still uncertain. Aim the study was to determine how affect LV relaxation compliance with HFmrEF. Methods Consecutive diagnosed or were enrolled. Non-cardiac comorbidity recorded: diabetes, chronic kidney disease (CKD), obstructive pulmonary (COPD), sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), dyslipidemia active previous cancer. Patients underwent laboratory tests, including NT-pro-BNP. following evaluated non-invasively by echocardiography using previously validated methods: time constant isovolumetric (τ) stiffness index (β). Left atrial volume (LAVi) also recorded. divided two groups: a) ≥2 b) <2 comorbidities. Results Seventy-five enrolled whom 73% reported dyslipidaemia, 26% 20% CKD, 18% COPD, 8% cancer, 4% OSAS. Thirty-five (47%) presented showing higher values τ (62±15ms vs 48±15ms, p<0.001). Non- significant differences found β (6.12±0.3 6.17±0.2; p= 0.582), (47±34 40±19, 0.386) log-transformed NT-pro-BNP (6.2±1.4 5.6±1.3; 0.323). Conclusion Among e presence multiple associated more impaired proto-diastolic reflected values. No (β) imaging characteristics suggestive increased end-diastolic filling pressure.
